  1. Octo Micro 20 dual wavelength photometer

Octo Micro 20 dual wavelength photometer
The Ultimate Water Quality Tester The Octo Micro 20 dual wavelength (525 nm or 638 nm) photometer directly tests over 30 water quality parameters with lab-quality accuracy at minimal cost. It features a narrow band wavelength filter for improved accuracy; long-life LEDs and a built-in cell for ultra-performance. For easy MLC-2006 potable water testing compliance This high quality unit self calibrates and automatically selects the optimal wavelength for each parameter. Incorporated into the testing procedure is our patented EZ-3â¢sup> Reagent Delivery Method for streamlined testing for technical and NON-technical users. Easy to use eXact® Strip/Photometer reagent delivery system (U.S. Patent #7,333,194) delivers reagents safely without the need to count drops or crush tablets. Dual wavelength photometer the Octo Micro 20 uses the same high quality 525nm and 638nm reagents as our other popular photometers for improved accuracy. 0.01 ppm (mg/L) precision Built-in, permanent 4 mL cell (no glass or plastic cells; simply fill or dip into water) Automatic countdown timer 1080 test memory (saves last 20 tests per menu) Incorporates EZ-3 Simplied Testing Method Fill, Dip and Read No-slip grip housing Lightweight (weighs only 6 oz with batteries installed) Waterproof meter (IP-67) & floats Easy-to-read LCD display Auto Calibrated Meter Environmentally friendly (recyclable parts & uses 60% less reagents than 10mL sample tests) No color matching Proprietary optics (allow for accurate testing with or without cap) CE certification 2 - year Warranty

  2. Simplate Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC) analysis

Simplate Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC) analysis
SimPlate for HPC method is used for the quantification of heterotrophic plate counts (HPC) in water. It is based on patented Multiple Enzyme Technology, which detects viable bacteria in water by testing for the presence of key enzymes known to be present in these organisms. It uses multiple enzyme substrates that produce a blue fluorescence when metabolized by waterborne bacteria. The sample and media are added to a SimPlate, incubated, and then examined for fluorescing wells. The number of fluorescing wells corresponds to a Most Probable Number (MPN) of total bacteria in the original sample. Used in the Octo Marine MLC-2006 potable water compliant analysis kit The MPN values generated by the SimPlate for HPC method correlate with the Pour Plate method using Total Plate Count Agar incubated at 35°C for 48 hours as described in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water. Easier to read and use than the pour-plate method. No agar preparation. 738/plate Most Probable Number (MPN) counting range minimizes need for dilutions. Rapid Instant media preparation. Less than 2 minutes of hands-on time. Reduced read time. Accurate Correlates with U.S. EPA-approved pour-plate method1 using plate count agar and 48-hour, 35°C incubation. Simplified procedure minimizes chance of contamination. Less subjective interpretation than pour plate. Economical Less equipment to purchase and maintain. Increased productivity saves labour costs. Minimal Quality Control (QC).
