    Legionella Analysis The test kit contains everything required to perform a legionella analysis â including sample collection containers and disposable pipettes. These tests are optimised for use with hot and cold water systems, whirlpool spas, showers, cooling towers and industrial water systems.     Simplate Heterotrophic Plate Count (HPC) analysis
    SimPlate for HPC method is used for the quantification of heterotrophic plate counts (HPC) in water. It is based on patented Multiple Enzyme Technology, which detects viable bacteria in water by testing for the presence of key enzymes known to be present in these organisms. It uses multiple enzyme substrates that produce a blue fluorescence when metabolized by waterborne bacteria. The sample and media are added to a SimPlate, incubated, and then examined for fluorescing wells. The number of fluorescing wells corresponds to a Most Probable Number (MPN) of total bacteria in the original sample. Used in the Octo Marine MLC-2006 potable water compliant analysis kit The MPN values generated by the SimPlate for HPC method correlate with the Pour Plate method using Total Plate Count Agar incubated at 35°C for 48 hours as described in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water.
